Looks to me like you take a kitchen towel and put it hot water-squeeze it out.--put baking ...»
soda on the stove top and then put the towel over it and let it set for say 15 -- 20 minutes after that just scrub with towel and should come clean.

Washing Windows Like The Pros

I cannot take credit for this discovery; however I can tell you that it works! In my opinion this is the best way for washing windows. A cleaning company shared this tip with me four ...»
years ago, I was using glass cleaner, vinegar and newspapers. Nothing I did completely cleaned the window. This is the only thing I use now.

Items Needed for Washing Windows

(All items except the Dawn were purchased at Dollar Tree)

Dawn Dish Detergent

Small Bowl or Bucket

Scrubby Pads

Absorbent Cloths

Squeegee

Steps

1. Place a few drops of Dawn in your container with a couple inches of water.

2. Dip the scrubby pad into the water and squeeze out.

3. Scrub the glass. The Dawn along with the scrubby gets the dirt off and does not leave a residue.

4. Squeegee the window, starting at the top and working down, wiping off the "blade" each time with a cloth.

5. Wipe around the edges to absorb any leftover water and dirt.

Who would have known this is all it takes to get professional results? Give it a try and see if you like the Washing Windows like The pros. http://chaoticallycreative.com/2012/03/16/wa...

Spray Paint a Pillow?

Sure, why not? My front porch needed an injection of color. Stat! So I used what I had on hand - burlap from Home Depot garden dept., spray paint., and a dollar store felt leaf.

$10 Washer & Dryer Makeover

After years of staring at my plain white appliances, I got bored. And when I get bored, I get a little crazy. So I decided to paint them with one $10 pint of Rustoleum enamel paint in ...»
Regal Red. It took three coats over a weekend, but they look amazing! I followed it up with some spray on poly to help protect it. It's been nearly a year and no chips yet. I used a silver paint pen to add my settings. What I should have done there was placed tracing paper over the knob prongs and meticulously copied my settings, because I left a lot out. Then I could have added a vinyl transfer or used a fine tip paint pen. I may scrape off the paint around the dials and redo it later down the line. Otherwise it was a cheap and easy update! Yard Art

My nephew welded these two birds from an old plow and parts of other farming implements. I added the paint and we now have beautiful yard art!

  • The fridge was once to the right of the cupboards, which stuck out into the dining area..We moved the fridge to the left and shoved the cabinets down to the right...makes it much roomier and brings the fridge closer to the cooking area. 4

I am proud of my kitchen

I remodeled my 1970's kitchen myself. I refaced the cabinets with wainscoting and picture frame molding. I did my own tile work on the countertops and backslpash. I also made my own roman shade above the sink.
