Company Overview

ChairCycle evolved from my love of smaller city downtowns and my weekend getaways to find hidden treasures. I love walking these spaces, the stories they tell and the endless fabric they adorn. I am an urban stroller and love exploring various parts of the city when I find time from my very busy life of a mother of 2 girls. With a background in architecture, design and urban planning I learnt from these very walks about the way of life back in the days and how they came to reality from the books I read in Urban ... See More Planning. On these walk, I have always found something interesting. My favorites are of course chairs. I started the "Wingback Project" after collecting a few and wanted to save as many as possible because they are versatile and will fit any room as an accent chair. We now also work on other forms of chairs and each of our chairs have a story to tell. I feel these chairs need to live on and relive their lost glory. So we are with our very first collection for 2012. Each chair is personally handpicked from various places around Atlanta. Their form carefully studied, and redesigned with some very stunning designer fabric. This gives our chairs a new life, a new beginning and a chance to begin a new story again. All of our chairs are looking for good homes, come see us or call us if you are looking for a chair for your space. We can also re-design that chair your grandmother passed on to you or a heirloom that you inherited. Choose from a selection of carefully handpicked designer chairs and breathe some new life into your chair.

FIND OF THE WEEK - Which fabric?

We found these beautiful vintage chairs and I am so thrilled. I've been looking for the right fabric for the chairs and I shortlisted 4 of my best fabric finds.

My favorite is A - Angel Wings!

Which one is yours?

instead of the traditional print. Even black and white will look great.

Gardening Apps

Way back in 2003 I wrote a newspaper article about using a Palm PDA (personal digital assistant). In the years since, Palm has gone out of business and many of us use smartphones daily.

I use mine all the time: to look up plant names, to check what I've written about a topic, and to find directions to a garden I'm visiting.

There are several smartphone apps that can be very helpful for gardeners. ...»

Rather than try to research each one, I found this article in the New York Times that seems to cover several good ones.
