We are building a new home, and want to put in LED lighting in the whole house. I am asking here to find out where I should look for design specs as well as product sales. We have not wired the house yet, so have very open palette.

After looking for a lighting consultant and having no luck finding an affordable lighting ...»
designer, we just spoke with the electrician doing the wiring. He said just to use LED bulbs in conventional fixtures. The bulbs cost about $10 so really not that expensive where the LED fixtures are about 3 times as much money as conventional. So we are going to use conventional fixtures and buy LED bulbs. such as http://www.globalindustrial.com/c/electrical...

Aspen Tree Lamp made from tree fallen across the road

We picked this tree up off the road a year ago, and just finished putting on all the lamp accessories. I am very pleased.

We routed a channel in the back. Would it be possible to drill all the way through?

New Bathroom Slate Tile

We bought this tile on a clearance sale. After it sat around for about a year we finally got around to installing it. Oh, and it turned out that every piece was 1/8 out of square in the 12 inches. And as with most slate tile the thickness varied by almost a 1/4 inch from the thickest to the thinnest pieces. But I tackled it, and think it looks pretty good. Haven't grouted it yet, but will be doing that soon!

Heat Pumps? radiant floor system

I'm thinking of using a large pond with a water/water heat pump to heat water for a radiant floor heating system. Any experience with this?
