Kitchen Island Before & After

I really didn't care for the original black industrial looking caster wheels that came on the island. I wanted to customize it .........so I found some legs that went to a bed in a ...»
antique shop. I cut them down sanded, painted distressed/glazed and ended up with these beautiful new feet that adorns the island. Hop on over to my blog Color It Simple for more of the details

Stamped Concrete

I'm somewhat intrigued by stamped concrete that looks like wood planks. Can this be done over an existing concrete patio slab, or is it for new concrete pours only? Can anyone recommend anyone that does this in the Tampa, FL area?

A Drawer transformed into an over the Toilet Cabinet

So I had all these drawers lying around from an old waterbed frame compliments from my neighbor who had purchase a new bed and wanted to know if I would like to use the wood and drawers ...»
for any of my projects...and me the JUNK Queen never passes up on an opportunity for free wood LOL!

So I thought to myself, SELF... what can I make out of these drawers?

Then I got to thinking that I was needing a new cabinet to go over the toilet in the bathroom to hold the toilet paper and other bathroom accessories.

So from one of the drawers this is what I made...

You Can see the whole tutorial here...

house 10 years ago my husband made us a concrete counter top, not cast more like plaster application. NOW, we are finally redoing the kitchen, and he wants to make a new counter top this time cast. We are quite far away from you. We don't want to compete too busy with the landscape stuff, just would love to have one in my kitchen. Do you do any combination with glass?

What is your best guess about the size of these oil jars. No picking on the web site, give it your best shot.

To all new guessers: the answer is: ...»

Some of you were pretty close, and some not even in the neighborhood.

    So here goes...

This WOW Fountain has a combination of five different pots, in various colors and in the antique stone finish:

3 Aladdin Ribbed Jars (these are the ones that looks like they have been taken right from "Ali Baba and the Forty robbers" so beware...

    60" w x 67" h

    48" w x 53" h

    36" w x 40" h

One Camarillo Pot the one my daughter sits on.

    36" w x 43" h

    One Camarilla jar

    48" w x 57" h

So the small one is 3' 4" h the large one over 5' 7".

The landscape Architect on this project was Dan Weedon from DW LA Landscape in Venice, CA.
