  • We've gotten to restore this house top to bottom, inside out.
  • The made for TV film stars Queen Latifa. 1
  • These shutters were dipped and stripped to be operational.
The windows were totally reglazed.
  • The old sleeping porch (b4 AC) is now a sunroom.
  • Side view. My, what a nice van that is. 2
  • A hole in the floor was filled with plywood and I faux finished it to match the surrounding brick. The old brick is on the right and the faux painted brick left.

It's Showtime, for a film being shot in this old house.

A remake of Steel Magnolias is being shot in this 100 yr old Neil Reid house, our famous architect.

I want to be in the credits somewhere so this is it.

Painting: I have two warping back screen doors. This is what I am doing to restore them"

Please please tell me if this is going to work or not. I have secured all finish nail parts. I have glued and pressed in place the bottom of the worse case door. I even nailed it to ...»
the frame with 3 finish nails. I sprayed it down with water inside and out. Tomorrow I will prime all the outside wood on both doors and apply the top coats when prime is dry. After all that I believe I can finish all the necessary paint and will have straight doors. Will it work or am I dreaming. I am too old to take the doors off the hinges but I have tightened the hinges and added a missing screw. INPUT PLEASE.

use the white like a sand background and then hang beach items on the walls - I've seen ...»
everything from surfboards to lanterns, fishing nets and of course beach pictures. Be sure to find a great color palette that includes blue, green and sand - then use some bright colors as drapes. if possible get some furniture that's distressed and has some bead board for that beach/cottage feel and you should be good to go!
