I've done this for my last two homes. Utilize the space that the beam going through your garage allows for. Used 8"x8" Hvy Duty L-braces (not shelf brackets). 1x12 MDF, and Screen bead.

This is one of our latest projects.
This one began as a canvas original painting, and the image was put on the stone tile. It's the largest reproduction we've done to date. I was very pleased with the quality of this over sized mural, 42" wide by 50" tall.
