I enjoyed reading your steps on conditioning Hydrangeas. I use to arrange the altar flowers ...»
at our church. When our flower supplier would have Hydrangeas, I would want to use them but they would tell me that unless conditioned properly, they would wilt. Since I lived in fear of showing up on any Sunday morning and seeing the arrangement wilting at the front of the church, I never used them. They are one of my favorites and wouldn't mind doing all those steps for an arrangement around my home. Thanks for posting this. I love your blog.

Epsom Salt has been a favorite for soaking for decades. It is funny but when Grandmother was ...»
bone tired from standing on her feet all day cooking, cleaning and washing (remember no convenient appliances), she would often soak her feet in a pan of warm water with ES. Now we scientifically know that soothing the feet can make the entire body feel better! Grandmother had some pretty smart ideas that are proving to be true!

  • My upscaled planter fountain on the deck@

Using a garage sale planter and a Goodwill fountain in a new way!

I used spray paint to mimic an upscale planter. I added a few plants and the little five dollar Goodwill fountain to make this great water feature for our deck!
