  • I used my Cricut to cut out the vinyl letters.
  • Our blessing jar, empty and waiting to be filled!
  • Each year I make a scrapbook layout and use some of our "blessings" as a reminder of our year.

Blessing Jar: Record blessings throughout the year and open on Thanksgiving as a family

This is a cherished tradition in our family that we've been doing since 1999. Throughout the year this simple jar sits on our kitchen table and we fill it with blessings recorded on slips ...»
of paper. On Thanksgiving evening, after we've purchased and decorated our Christmas tree, we empty out the jar and read the blessings as a reflection of our year.

I like the idea of doing it all year. We have always done a "happy birthday Jesus thank you ...»
for..." and we read them on Christmas Eve but I may have to start a year round jar. Thanks for the idea!

  • I am painting this in antique white with a hint of raw yellow on my entry table top..I'll post photos when done!

Can't stand up to paint for long...

I may not be able to stand up too long, but by golly I can sit down and do painting projects...this is going on my entry table that I rescued from the curb several months ago. Why would anyone throw out a beautiful table from the 30's because it is scarred? I have scars and I don't want to be thrown out!

I did this exact same graphic on a table a few weeks ago..its much easier to to take the ...»
printout to staples and have them enlarge it bigger than what we could print on our home printers. Then use transfer paper and a pencil then go over the transferred image with paint pens unlesd you have an amazingly steady hand with a paintbrush and thanks to fibromyalgia I don't but the paint pens are wonderful. Good luck!!

Cleaning & Organization: Any ideas for polishing a large brass candlestick - floor model other than brasso polish.

Approximately 36" high brass candlestick purchased in Asia over 30 years old - has detail to it as well and Brasso polish does not do anything for it. Thanks

Arbor Swing

Our swing is 6ft long so one can fall asleep easily on this soft bed of sunbrella fabric. Arbor holds up to 1,000 lbs so we can fit many on it to enjoy

updated mailbox / planter combo

Okay I finished it was almost going to use shingles on it but as you can see I didn't. It's sealed up pretty good for weather to keep mail dry. Now someone needs to seal it to protect it whom ever the buyer is ............ maybe you ???
