  • Need some texture and color for your outdoor table? Try these easy rope-wrapped and painted terra cotta pots!
  • I started with a simple terra cotta pot!
  • Starting at the top, I used my glue gun to attach the rope.
  • I finished up wrapping the pot with rope. I snipped the rope off with scissors, and secured it down with hot glue.
  • Using left-over turquoise latex paint from another project and a standard paint brush, I painted the base of this pot.
  • Perfect outdoor centerpiece!

Repurposed chairs into a cute corner bench

A new friend (Betty) shared her bench with me on Facebook. Betty doesn't have a blog, but you don't need a blog to be featured on My Repurposed Life. I love great repurposed items. Betty repurposed 4 chairs into this oh so cute bench!

  • Add burlap to the back of your bookshelves.
  • I used a 12" roll of burlap and a staple gun to create the burlap'ified bookshelf.
  • Such great texture and interest with the burlap background.

Burlap'ified Bookshelves

Our family room bookshelves were looking a little boring. I thought about painting the backs of the bookshelves but then I came up with this much easier idea. ...»

Why not put some burlap on the back of the bookshelves!

I used a 12" wide roll of burlap and a staple gun.

I stapled the burlap to the backing of the bookshelves (trying to place the staples behind the shelves to hide them.

This was much easier and quicker than painting would have been!

I love the texture it gives!

Want to know what to do with an old window and some fence boards?

#BeforeandAfter

First, you take some old discarded windows from a job site and distress, paint and ...»

distress some more to achieve the desired look. Then you get a family photo enlarged as an engineering print to fit the chosen window. Use cardstock and the Cricut to produce a long held family motto. Take some old fence boards and make a farmhouse looking shutter and put it all together! "Family is forever" is front and center in our kitchen to remind us everyday of what is truly important!
