Painting: Waxing after painting

I am not happy with the way the finish looks after applying wax over the paint. I use plaster paint and or Annie Sloan paint. I have tried AS wax and Briwax, I have used a brush (not AS brush) to apply the wax, I have tried using clean cloth...the best results I achieved were with the briwax. Is it the way I apply the paint???? Any suggestions?????? I want a nice clean finish on the top of this buffet.

WooHoo I sold my first piece of painted furniture.

Today I sold my first piece, a coffee table that I bought off Craigs List for $10 , yes only $10. I painted it with DIY white chalk paint, distressed it a little and gave the top 2 coats of stain with poly.

just started to do the same thing by redoing furniture. I don't really know what I should charge for different pieces. If you can send me a private message or post it if you want to, I was wondering what you sold your table for. My email is daubin56@yahoo.com. If you follow me then I can send you a private message as well as you can to me. Thank you for considering telling me.

    Sincerely
