  • I use a moist sanding block to sand with. It keeps the dust at bay and makes a buttery smooth finish.
  • Dark wax applied to help age the cabinets.
  • It is a long process to achieve this look but to us well worth it. 1

Inexpensive Option for a Stair Runner

Looking to replace or add a stair runner?

Here's an easy, inexpensive option for a stair runner that looks high-end. I purchased two ...»

indoor/outdoor stair runners and stapled them to the stairs. When one stair runner ended....we wrapped it around the stair tread and continued with the next runner and finished off the project with brushed nickel stair rods.

Slipcovered Parsons Chairs

My slipcovers finally are finished! I purchased 7 yards for each chair of Hungarian linen, had them monogramed, then made in to slipcovers. It took 3 months between the two vendors. More like a 3 act play! But I love them!

Living Room Makeover

The sofa and two chairs were reupholstered in red paisley and apple green velvet. Ralph Lauren linen for the curtains and grasscloth on the walls give the living room an updated, fresh look. The bookshelf was painted black and distressed.

Fun and easy Christmas project...my burlap découpage deer!

I transformed an old gold foil deer that had been hanging around in my attic to a simple and rustic burlap deer! Love it! All it took was some burlap scraps and Mod Podge! #Bestof2012

  • Any wreath will work. I used a handmade wreath purchased from a street vendor, but Costco has great wreaths also.
  • Using upholstery webbing, I stenciled the words using a template and permanent marker pen.
  • You could also say, Joyeux Noel, Happy Holidays or just Welcome!
