  • Once the Mod Podge and food coloring is dry the glass takes on a "cranberry" color.
  • Depending on how much blue and red food coloring you use, the cranberry will dry in different shades.
  • Cover the rim of the jar with an old necklace or beads and no one will know it was once a jar.

DIY Faux Cranberry Glass

I am obsessed with painted glass bottles and jars. I have seen so many beautiful projects lately; simple spray painted bottles, white paint inside of the glass resulting in a milk glass ...»
effect and Mod Podge and blue food coloring inside of the glass which makes beautiful sea glass.

I decided to try making faux cranberry glass. True cranberry glass is an art and the glass is typically hand blown. You can use Mod Podge and food coloring to create the look of cranberry glass. Use old jars and bottles for an instant faux cranberry glass collection. #SpringDecor

  • The wall behind it is white, as will be the wall on the left side. 3

Any Suggestions on Color Choice for This Wall

I'm slowly morphing my house from this yellow, to a white/beachy pallette. The problem is this wall has a limestone fireplace which tends to the yellow side and will probably not work with white. I was considering painting this one wall in a nautical blue or blue/green but I'm really stumped as to which shade or even if this is a good idea. Please any ideas or suggestions welcome and needed.

Grey is the new beige in design today. When I visit brand new homes that is all I see in the ...»
interior - grey of all shades. A deeper grey than the stone work would make the fireplace stand out and pull the room together. It is also neurtral enough that you could continue with putting shades of blue in the room as an accent. It looks like you have some stone squares in your design around the fireplace - why not select a grey shade that would match one of those and it would enhance both the wall and the design.

Design & Décor: Looking for this lamp shade - need 2

I found the lamps on sale at Kirkland's, but the lamp shades are from a lamp sold at Pier 1 and are no longer available. Anyone have a source for this color and style lamp shade? I've Google searched for them for 5 hours last night, and come up with almost nothing -- sadly, the Pottery Barn version is sold out. Thanks for helping!
