Good Morning. I wanted to show you guys (as I have before ) that laminate furniture can be BEAUTIFUL too. I got this plain ole dresser from my friend and decided to I wanted to turn it into a piece of art and again keep this (and all types of furniture) out of the landfills. I know people are scared but it is just as easy to paint laminate as it is regular wood furniture. Head on over and check out the results.

the finished Painted Laminate Dresser. Hand Painted weeping willow tree dresser.
the before of the plain laminate dresser. I just lightly sanded any spots that the laminate was scratched and started painting with cece caldwells paints.
after painting the drawers in cece caldwells paint I started drawing on my weeping willow tree design.
I wanted to soften the squareness of this dresser a bit, so I drew on a willow tree, with its winding roots and winding branches. I then started painting it in with a mix of black and a bit of metallic paint for subtle texture.
after painting the tree I outlined the whole tree in my metallic Krink permanent paint pen. I distressed the whole thing by lightly sanding and then used a light wax to seal the finish. When it was dry I buffed the whole thing.

I have to say this is one of the loveliest make-overs I've seen. Beautiful job.
