Not Just Another Pallet Headboard

Theresa King
by Theresa King
It started with a simple call from an old friends husband asking if I could build his wife the pallet headboard she'd been talking (and pinning!) about...
After deconstructing about 4 pallets, we laid them out on the garage floor, braced the back with 2x6 legs and (lots) of little braces to hold the individual planks together.
Next came the staining. And more staining and more staining... I used 5 different stain colors and a lot of OCD to make sure the colors were the perfect combination of "random" and "organized".
Luckily, Amy loved it! And while picking up her new surprise she asked if I would be interested in helping with their master bath makeover as well! So back to the garage I go!
All the doors and drawer fronts plus the cabinet from above the commode. She wanted a navy blue with black aging glaze finish.
Long story short: I ended up building her headboard refinishing their nightstands and helping with their master bath vanity! Here are the final pictures (inspiration photo included is not my work)

Beautiful headboard! Would you please let me know how much this project cost you to do? I would enjoy making one but have no idea of what to expect cost-wise. Thank you!
