This piece was for a client of mine, and she had the inspo, and I gave her what she wanted! First of all I think vintage makeup vanity’s are where it is at. And should be brought back! Every women needs one of these! How much nicer this would he then to use a bathroom counter and limited drawer space!

Before !

Remove hardware and sand ! Scuff sanded the frame and took off all the stain on top.

Next I needed to tape off anything I didn’t want paint to get on

There probably was an easier way 🤷🏼‍♀️

Next everything needed primed! And primed GOOD. Vintage pieces always like to bleed through paint. So I did 3 coats of shellac based primer

Next I painted it with pure white paint, by behr mixed with bb frosch transforming powder (chalk powder)

After i applied provincial min wax stain mixed with a bit of espresso stain.

One it was dry I distressed the edges with my sander! And bought new knobs!

I love how digressing the wood brings back some vintage feels!

after that I applied a polyurethane top coat for protection

Hey check out my photoshopping the bed in my driveway ;) hahaha

that’s a wrap!

Hello great job. I have an old vanity and revived it as well. Would you have an idea how to get the drawers not to stick? Thank you

Hello. I 'heard' that if you get a bar of soap, and rub along the top rung on the drawer/s, it should make it easier to open and shut them. I think it could be an old wives tale...but who knows. Maybe your local hardware store might have some advice.

It looks gorgeous! You did a great job and I’m so jealous! 😁 I would love to have one exactly like yours, in white, but don’t have the room in my bedroom, so stuck at using the bathroom mirror & Formica.w/gold.spots for doing my makeup!
