This is an idea I wanted to do in bathroom, but I want to cut through both sides of the wall. There is an odd wall between the sink and the toilet/shower half of the room that blocks so much light, a windowless room to begin with. I am lacking good easy to grab stuff storage I put up a few shelves but they tend to look messy. I am just afraid to do the cutting myself.

Great idea for that space! My biggest concern is always if there's electrical or plumbing running through it. But if you do end up knocking a hole in it and installing storage, please post a picture - I'd love to see the final result! :)

Exactly what I was looking for. You’ve done a great job and thank you kindly for the tips. For my bathroom, I’d like to take it a step further and add cabinet doors with mirrors. It’s a shallow space, but perfect for lining up toiletries. The open concept will be lovely in my small bedroom, to display my trinkets and treasures - and will keep the cats from knocking things about.
I think it’s smart to mention that this project can only be done on inside walls. It won’t work on outside walls, or common walls as you’d run in to vapour barrier and insulation.
Thanks again, Lovely!
