How to Make Decorative Plates

How to Decorate Plates
Clean the plate you wish to use
Use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to clean off all dust and fingerprints. Wait 5 minutes for the alcohol to dry.
Decorate your plate
Draw or paint your designs on your plate using a non-toxic permanent marker or ceramic paint.
Correct any mistakes immediately
Use rubbing alcohol or water and a rag to erase any mistakes before they dry.
Heat your plate
Preheat an oven to 300℉ and place the plate on the middle rack. Bake the plate for 30 minutes, allowing the decorations to set.
Cool the plate
Cool in the warming drawer after baking. For best results, bake the plate a second time. Wait 24 hours before using and/or washing the plate.
