I like doing holiday crafts...but I really love doing easy holiday crafts! These birch bead holiday tree ornaments are simple to make. They look like little wreaths hung up on the Christmas tree! They also look cute hung in a window with other natural ornaments such as acorns, cinnamon sticks, and dried citrus.

I made lots of these little birch bead ornaments last year to sell at a holiday craft fair. I'd never done a craft fair before so I didn't know what people would like. Fortunately these were popular! They were the first ornaments I ran out of icon
Supplies for making the birch bead ornaments
BEFORE - Gather your supplies. You'll need mini wooden beads, floral wire, ribbon, a ruler, and a multitool (or floral wire cutters). I found that the wooden beads were much cheaper online and in the dollar store than at the craft store.
Measure out your length of wire
Use the tool to safely cut a piece of floral wire about 30 cm (1 foot) long.
Thread the beads onto the wire
Thread the beads onto the middle of the piece of wire. For my size of beads, 9 beads looked like the right amount.

Once the beads are on the wire, bend the wire so that the beads form a circle in the middle of the wire.
Twist the ends of wire together
Use the tool to twist the ends of the wire together to affix the beads in a circle. The beads should be fairly tightly packed, but leave a bit of space in the loop to fit the ribbon in later on.

Cut off the extra wire ends. Leave a 1 cm length (1/3 of an inch) of twisted wire attached to the loop to keep the circle together. Use the tool to push the twisted ends of wire into one of the wooden beads to hide the twisted wire connection.
Tie on a loop of ribbon
Tie some ribbon around the circle of beads to form a loop, threading it between any two beads in the wreath ornament.
AFTER - Ta da! Your new birch bead wreath ornaments are ready to be hung up!
