QUICK HANDMADE WATERCOLOR ORNAMENT

4 Materials
It’s soon time to trim the tree (if you haven’t already!). I decided to go with a watercolor theme last year and making these ornaments is super easy. If my 8 and 6 year old can do this, anyone can!
You can use any type of ornament. I have used this on craft store ornaments that were glass, ceramic and plastic.
1. Fill the dish with warm water.

2. Add a few drops of nail polish. If the polish doesn’t disperse, use a toothpick to swirl it a little.

3. Dip the ornament into the mixture.

4. Hang dry.
It really is super simple and fun. They would make great gifts or look awesome as gift toppers.

Wouldn’t it be best to do the inside so it won’t scratch off

I do this with my childcare with shaving cream and food colors to make colored paper. Use a shallow pan, add shaving cream and spread out all over the pan then add food coloring, use something to swirl the different colors, add the paper and gently pull up and whoa la beautiful paper. Scrape off any shaving cream and let dry. Use for making cards or anything. I can't wait to try this technique for adult projects. I will be checking out sales on fingernail polish. Thank you

OH FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! I've been fretting because I needed to slightly alter my color scheme on my tree this year, and couldn't figure out how to add more ornaments to the budget! Now I just have to pick up a couple of bottles of nail polish! YAY YOU!
