This is a fairly simple to make decoration and suitable for indoors or outdoors, winter or summer!

Great for a birthday but I also used it in my Christmas in Candyland.

Paint your large flower pot

First find a large flower pot. If you don't have one in the garage gathering dust check yard sales, marketplace, Dollar Tree, your moms garage (lol), etc. Cheap is best! Spray paint it whatever color you like. I went with this color since I already had it.

Give it some weight

Put something in the bottom to better weigh it down. I had these heavy old tiles gathering dust in the basement. Rocks or cat litter or dirt would work too.

Build it up

Give it some substance and build it up. You could use crumpled newspapers, etc but I had this plastic container that had ornament balls in it. It was on it's way to the trash when I realized this would be useful.

Gather supplies

You'll want all of your decorations ready to use quickly once you've sprayed the "Great Stuff" on. Two cans of the "Great Stuff" foam is needed if you're filling a very large flower pot like mine.

Start spraying the foam around and around building up to the top.

I got this far and needed that 2nd can of "Great Stuff" foam.

So there it is in one poofy wet pile! It will expand and smooth out a bit as it dries and hardens. BUT before it does....decorate....

Cherry on top

While it's still sticky put the decorations on- work quickly!

This red glitter ornament made a great looking cherry on top!

Faux Sprinkles

Next I sprinkled these multicolored Styrofoam beads I found at Dollar Tree. They sure look yummy!

Make it sparkle!

I had this faux glitter snow from Dollar Tree but really anything like glitter is great!

Very lightly pat the decorative sprinkles and glitter on wearing disposable gloves so it sticks well. Let it dry at least 24 hours in a safe place away from kids and pets!

An easy and rather fun weekend craft!

It took 10 minutes to spray paint the flower pot then left it till it was dry and 20 minutes to fill it with spray foam and decorate. Then it was dry and hard the next day. I'm glad I put it in the garage overnight to harden because we woke to snow!

Did you paint it? Whenever I use this stuff it turns a dark brownish yellow when it is dry. Yours is a nice off white kind of color.

you can spray paint the foam. Be sure it is water base so it doesn't dissolve the foam.
