Painting a beige, square ceramic kitchen backsplash

I want to paint the ceramic backsplash squares black and white, to match my 1940s kitchen style. Can it be done? Would I use an oil base? Or is there something else to use.
This is my 1940s style kitchen.

  • yes you can. rustoleum has an epoxy paint. The main thing is you have to clean the tile very well first, and then paint on the correct primer. Then you paint. You can google "how to paint ceramic tile" . There are many links and also a you tube video.

There are many solutions available to you for painting the tile. First you must totally rid any grease and or dirt allowing the tile to dry. Next use a good primer such as Zinzer 123 making sure it is the correct one for tile. Again allow to dry and apply a paint formulated for ceramic tile.
