A corner table with a nice leafy medium to tall green plant for color. If there is room on the table, add a favorite framed photo or a personal treasure.

Put a decorative column (36 - 40" tall) in the corner; place a large vase that matches your décor on the column. Fill the vase with a bunch of artificial grass or sticks, etc. You can also loosely tie a decorative scarf around the neck of the vase, letting it drape over the side of the column. Makes a pretty show that doesn't consume much floor space.
floating shelves are a great way to add function without taking up too much space in a small room!
What about Art? or some sort of textural piece to draw the eye?
