How do I make transitional furniture work in a modern living room?

i e got new modern living room furniture but then chose transitional type coffee/end/tv console. The sofa table I’m looking at has mirrored accents.... How do I pull all of these pieces together?

Mirror mixes ok with transitional furniture. You tie the room together with fabric, patterns and color first. Furniture is secondary.
The beauty of transitional is that it really is designed to marry traditional and modern together. Many hotels have designed their room decor this way. I would look at hotel photos to get a sense of how they've combined these elements
