Just a few items from the thrift store and create a classy and inexpensive way to add lighting to your porch. I am so excited about the way this turned out and can't wait to share it with you! It is so easy to make!
You'll need the following items:
An old tea light candle holder (thrift store)
Lamp Shade (thrift store)
Solar Light (Dollar Tree)
The first thing you'll do is pull your solar light apart by pulling the light off the stem.
Next you'll take the glass lamp shade and place it on your tea light candle holder.
For the last step, you will place your solar light top on top and into the hole of the glass lamp shade.
Here is what it looks like lit up at night. It is so pretty and adds a nice glow to your indoor or outdoor space. Just make sure your solar light get direct sunlight. You can have indirect sunlight as well, but your solar light will not run as long.
Or for an alternative option....
You can place the solar light on first.
Then put the glass lamp shade on top over the solar light.
Here is this one lit up in the dark.
Place on your patio or porch and enjoy.
We love ours! I am so happy with how this little lamp made such a difference to our front porch.

I'm definitely going to try this idea. I have two very heavy Texas Star candles for outside. They're too big for just a candle but they'd be perfect for a large lamp on the outside table. Wish me luck
