20% vinegar does a decent job. You can order it from Amazon. Grocery store vinegar is only 5% acidic, so more than likely with that you will kill the top growth, but not the roots.

Go on Pinterest as there are a number of recipes pinned that show you the measurements for the water/salt/vinegar combination.

Vinegar works well. I have also just poured boiling water on weeds that grow around walkway and driveway. I avoid salt because I am worried about neighboring plants.

I use 1 gallon of white vinegar...2 cups of epsom salts and 1/4 cup of dawn (blue) dishwashing soap. Mix well and put in spray bottle. Since I have a smaller area, I cut the ingredients in half. Be sure not to spray anything you don't want to kill. :)

White vinegar is the way to go. My formula is, one gallon white vinegar, one cup of salt and one teaspoon of Dawn Detergent. I mixed this in an empty "Roundup" container. For close up spraying, I cut a 3 x 3 or a 3 by 4 piece of cardboard. Took a magic marker and wrote the word, "TOP" on one side. That way you always know which end to hold. Use it when spraying around flowers and shrubs. Set it on the ground right at the weeds and then spray. The cardboard will block the spray. Sometimes I even put the nozzle right on the weeds and spray. Don't spray on windy days or if it is getting ready to rain.
