Hot, Hot, Hot, and Dry, Dry, Dry. Hello Summer!

Here’s a Great Tip to Beat the Heat – Hop into a Stock Tank!

But I didn’t Want All the Complicated Pool Apparatus to go with the Stock Tank…Just something Simple and Easy with Clean, Clear Water. No Cutting Holes for Pool Pumps. No Electrical Cords. No Pool Pumps. No Wires.

Just a Simple Project to Create an Oasis for a Quick Dip in Cool, Clean Water.

Hello 6′ Stock Tank!

A 6′ Tank easily fits 4 adults. Sitting in the water, hot tub style.

7 Simple Steps to a Fabulous Stock Tank Pool!

Step One: First, and Most Importantly, LEVEL THE AREA.

Without a Level Spot for the Tank, You won’t be able to Fill the Tank to the Brim.

Take Your Time with this Step.

Check the Level.

Ready!

Step Two: Roll the Stock Tank into Place.

Where to Get a Stock Tank??? Most Farmer’s Feed Stores and They Usually Deliver.

A thorough cleaning is next. Have Everyone Involved.

This is the Fun Part!

Scrub and Scrub some more.

Now Set the Tank and Check the Level.

Step Three: FILL!!!

Love the Sparkle!

Step Four: A Shop Vac Works as a Fabulous Vacuum for the Tank Bottom!

Step Five: Add a Chlorine Dispenser.

Amazon Chlorine Dispenser – LINK.

Step Six: MY FAVORITE PART!!! THE SOLAR PUMP!!!

No Cords, Wires, Electrical Outlets, Plugs. Nothing but the SUN for Power!

Amazon Solar Pump – LINK.

The Solar Pump comes with Different Spray Attachments and Filters.

Remove the Film to Expose the Solar Panels and Activate the Pump.

Set the Solar Pump and Chlorine Dispenser in the Tank.

Love the High Sprayer Nozzle!

Cool, Clean, Magical!

Step Seven: Probably My Silliest Idea, but It Works(!) – A Queen-Size Fitted Sheet for the Tank Cover!

Covering the Tank at Night helps Keep the Tank Water Clean.

Let the Sun Shine! Your Stock Tank Will Love It!

Every Sparkly Minute!

Ahh!

Love the Power of the Sun!

Happy Summer!

I have always wanted to do this, but I was wandering how to keep the water clean without having to dump all that water. So,did you find that the Chlorine pump kept it clean? Did you have a test kit to check the levels, and when it came winter time ,what did you do ?How would you eliminate all that water?

Most of the ones I've seen had a pump on it.But I am curious as to how clean the water will stay with just this pump, and I think it's best to check the level of chlorine, sometimes it can be to high ,which is dangerous

What about using a shower curtain to cover it instead of a bedsheet? Wouldn't that be a better solution? When it gets dirty, just through it in the washing machine!

I am definitely going to do this when we move. There are lots of horses, and I should be able to get it delivered! Thanks so much.
