Iv'e used plain old walnuts to fix scratches in medium to darker furniture. I just rubbed it on the scratch and voila!
You can get like a wax crayon for wood that matches the stain, at least pretty closely. Really simple and covered pretty well
Wax crayon if it needs filling too, otherwise those furniture markers are great.
If you have any acrylic paint in a color close to the furniture color, you can wipe the paint across the scratch and then take a paper towel or brown paper bag and rub off the excess paint and the paint will stain the scratch.
I did this with an old antique dresser and vanity and if I didn't tell you that the majority of one side of the dresser was not just scratched but actually missing, you would never know.
