A Major Headboard Improvement

I never liked the wicker headboard now in my guest room. I discovered that it was just attached with plywood and screws, so I removed it and replaced it with upholstered plywood. I used ...»
quarter-inch plywood, foam, batting, and a staple gun to upholster it. I also spray painted the frame a satin black finish. I love it now.

A Solution for Framing Oddly Shaped Art

I received homemade cards from my kids for Mothers Day and wanted to frame them. The problem was that neither card fit in a standard frame and I didn't have a mat. So, I used a larger ...»
frame and painted the back board of the frame a complementary color. I used high-gloss craft paint, applied with a small foam roller, and it took three coats for full coverage.

  • Fabric is Waverly Pom Pom Spa. Right now it is just draped over a curtain rod, not sewn yet. 1
  • Super flexible storage with Flow Wall. Everything can be lifted off and moved in seconds. 1
  • This little decor bin has clothespins and can act as an iron rest while ironing clothes.
  • Hooks and bins keep all my laundry storage neat, orderly and off the floor. 1
  • The bins hold a lot of storage.
  • Smart Tile adhesive tile sheets (they are like stickers) surround the utility sink to keep the walls clean and can be easily wiped.

Cutting Crown Corners with a Cheap Saw

Maneuvering those long pieces of wood while cutting them was not easy, but cutting those inside corners drove me crazy the first time I tried to install crown molding! Not any more! A ...»
