In the planning & designing of my dining room, I realized the budget was tight so when I could I reused existing furniture I did. My existing bench was so funtional for the kids & it fit
my table perfectly, the only problem it was DARK brown. It needed paint, so on a whim one day I went for it and painted a french grain sack stripe. I used the DIY chalkpaint recipe for the base color(cream) and Anne Sloans French Linen Chalk Paint for the stripe.
I was so unsure of what to do with these oak end tables....I first painted them green, then gray, then white...and THEN I was inspired to make them in to a light airy beachy theme! I really love the outcome! So does the new owner :)
This vanity was a custom job for a little girl, she likes purple, white and zebra! Unfortunately, it was in AWFUL shape. I started by removing ALL the veneer...and then filled and sanded cracks. Luckily it turned out beautiful! and has the perfect wild touch with purple drawers, glass drawer pulls and a zebra bench!
