As someone who brews their own beer, I can say first hand that the best way to get paper ...»
labels off bottles is water (at any temperature) with a nice dose of "OxyClean".

Just toss them in a tub and forget them for a while. All the paper slides off with no gooey stuff left behind. This does not work very well with plastic labeling though.

Walls & Ceilings: Has anyone tried gluing faux wainscoat on their walls?

I don't know how to use a nail gun and keep seeing so many cute faux finishes on hallway walls...would some heavy duty glue work or is this a crazy question..

A product by "Loctite" called "PowerGrab" is a very good adhesive and is paintable. ...»

It grabs well and has excellent results when used properly. It is white like a caulk and cleans up with water unlike products like PL400 construction adhesive.

However, as stated in previous comments, it will tear the drywall paper when removed. If the wall is wavy or the trim is a bit warped, you may not get clean results.

Moldings may also slide down the wall as well depending on the weight.

A brad/trim nailer is really the way to go to get the results of a pro

Appliances: My dryer goes on (I can hear sound) but it does not spin, so clothes are not drying.

Is this something simple that an appliance repair person can do, or would I be better off getting a new machine? If I am getting it repaired, what should I expect to pay?

Typical charge. Ever take a look at a medical bill after seeing the Doc for a few minutes? Just keeping it in perspective.

Use 1/2" duroc. I've seen too many 1/4" duroc failures due to flexing!

Design & Décor: I'd like to put some kind of storage shed outside on my deck. Can I use it to store things like clothes and stuff?

Will they get ruined being outside - there's a lot of sun on that side of the house. Are there certain kinds of sheds that this would work better with? Looking for advice from the Hometalk crew...

space bags are good. Put a dryer sheet like "bounce" in there. Keep them smelling nice.
