About Me:

I LOVE to DIY and I think every person, CAN DO IT! Just takes a little research, learning as you go, asking a lot of questions, hunting for clearance or the best deal and a little sweat equity! Saves you lots of money and gives you a lot of personal satisfaction. My main motto in life is that you should love your home and love to live in it the way it is. If it is not the way you want it, well DIY and change it and ESPECIALLY do not *wait* to fix it when you are going to move or sell it!! If you are waiting to do the projects you want to do in your home, you will never get around to them! Find your budget and go on the remodel HUNT! DIY now and LOVE THE WAY YOU LIVE! Website: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Color-Your-Ca... Also check out my recipes page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Whats-for-Din...

Favorite area of home improvement:

Remodeling any area of my home, from the inside out! Plus I do Black and White photography and 95% of all the art in my home is mine since I also do Acrylic modern art paintings.

involved were the material costs and adding a a couple feet of length of cement to the already existing slab. We used clearance slate from http://www.flooranddecoroutlets.com/ and a palette of flagstone we found on clearance to make a pathway into the yard. The pics are without the furniture cushions and all dolled up for when we use it but you get the idea we also changed the glass table for a rot iron one that works much better and matches all the other furniture.

Gardening: Fig trees- transplanting them

I have two fig trees and I would like to transplant them to a different location in my yard. I live in a northern suburb of Atlanta, when is the best time to do so? Can I do it now or will it kill them?

squirrels to get them, the birds aren't greedy and I don't mind sharing but the squirrels are wasteful... fortunately I think the owls that have been visiting have cleaned out some of the over population that has plagued us and we may actually get a reasonable harvest this coming year...

them in a non-drafty area and indirect sunlight. I keep them all over my home now and they last forever and re-bloom for me. I even pot them in my bigger pots and put several in the same pot. I LOVE to give them as flower arrangements for special occasions or birthdays!

I have luck with Kroger's orchids priced from 9.99 to 19.99 and IKEA's orchids 9.99 to 17.99.
