I need some flooring advice.

I have travertine in my foyer. My diningroom needs a new floor. Since I keep a rug under my table, carpet just doesn't work well. Should I use travertine again? I found the same color ...»
stone at the tile store. I'm about to tile my kitchen which is adjacent to the diningroom, separated by a door.

As a designer, I would advise hardwoods as well. They will make the room feel warmer as well ...»
as absorb sound and though I don't know your style of furniture I would guess that it will marry better with your furnishings. Other considerations though are: there IS now a tile that looks VERY much like hardwoods but with the ease of cleaning like tile. You may still have the echo though that tile can make. Also, another new product to consider is an indoor outdoor rug. Styles have goten much better and many of them mimic a more formal rug but are easily cleaned. Many of them can be taken outside and "hosed" off! By the way; your kitchen looks great!

  • Before Bath. Outdated!
  • Heated tile f loor with mosaic inlay, custom cabinetry, waterfall faucets with countertop bowls, slipper tub, steam shower. Stunning results!
  • Different Angle. The coordinating sconce is a great, low wattage, decorative nightlight
  • Sink/Faucet Close up, Traditional mirrors (Huge Saving there by purchasing from Kirklands)
  • Since there was no door on the toilet, I bumped the wall out to provide more privacy but added the iron inset so that it would not feel so closed in as well as a it of interest
