Circus Themed Fairy Garden

When I decided to do a fairy garden, I wanted to do something different. I didn't want to be cliche and actually put a fairy in it, so I went with a circus theme. ...»

I planted it in a beat up, rusty enamelware basin that I bought at an estate sale which came with its own pre-rusted out holes for drainage.

(Yes, it is a little bit "just for show" with the paper flag bunting and all, but I am keeping it on my covered porch for right now and enjoying the festiveness of it.)

Now the question is, is it still a fairy garden even if there are no fairies in it?

  • Using easily found items and created items, I was able to create a fairy garden - a great project with my children.
  • Fairy gardens can be in any size and can be customized for a thoughtful gift.
  • Although ready made items can be found online or in garden centers, we chose to make as many of the elements as we could.

Fairy Garden

A fun and quick project that is great to do with your kids. We did this last spring and we keep updating it for the seasons. We tried to "think out of the box" in terms of the house and furniture to come with fun options.

DIY Project ~ Mother's Day Fairy Garden

Just in time for a Mother's Day project, I found a cracked birdbath sitting in a neighbor's curbside trash. I have been saving little bits of things to make some fairy gardens and this ...»
just plopped into my lap (actually the front passenger seat of my car).

Although it looks more extensive, this project took just forty-five minutes to put together, not including the heaving and hauling of the very heavy concrete birdbath to and from the car!

Fairy Garden

My daughter (9) wanted to plant her own fairy garden. She picked a book-box (that I altered) to be the planter and succulents for ease of care.
