  • the door was cut in half (yes, it's an odd angle...long story) and a shade was added for extra "protection"

  • the walls are lined in aluminum foils simply put up with aluminum duct tape. easy! But, it looks like a bunker :). 1

Nerf "battlestation"

Take an unused closet (or just takeover one...who has unused closets?) and turn it into a Nerf battlestation for your boy! The walls are aluminum foiled, pvc pipes are storing nerf bullets. Even handles on wood to add a fake "ladder".

you could use a primer like 123, or kilz. they will stick to sleek areas (I used it on wall ...»
tiles in our bathroom 6 years ago! still holding up). But if the stain is really dark, it will probably bleed through the pant, and you will have to give several coats of paint (if white is your choice) I would say that probably a nice sanding to remove most of the dark stain is your better option...my opinion :)

End Table turned Raised Dog Feeder

Found an old end table missing the drawer and reconfigured it into a raised dog feeder. Finished it using CeCe Caldwell Chalkpaint and Wax. Wynnie dog loves it!

  • This is my bed. (Please ignore the mess around it) it used to be a bunk bed and when i was younger my dad took the bottom bunk off and recently used the extra wood peices for a project of his. so no i dont have the bottom bunk anymore.
  • another angle of my bed.
  • This is what i ultimately want in my room. It has a lot of desk space for me to work with and plenty of shelving space for me to put books and other things.
  • this was the design i was going to use (done by Ana White http://ana-white.com/2012/06/plans/top-bunk-organizer)
  • And this is the bed that i fell in love with. 2

Re-doing my bedroom, need help finding a sleep+study loft bed for a good price, any ideas?

I am 17 and i live in my childhood bedroom with mermaids and flowers on the walls, and its time for me to change all of that. I have a small room that's only 13'7"X9'9" and it is ...»
completely engulfed in furniture. so to give myself more space i have decided i wanted to buy/build a bed like the one on PBteen http://www.pbteen.com/products/girls-sleep-a...

it will give me so much more room for friends to come over and watch a movie and stuff and since i will be going to a university in 2 years i'll need a lot of space to work on projects. so the PBteen one is way way way out of my price range (I'm 17, i'm not made of money) does anyone know where i can either puchase one really cheap, or i can find a plan for it so i can build it myself? Thanks!! :)

Andrea...I have two daughters who are also into mermaids...they are a bit younger than you at ...»
13 and 11 and they have watched every episode of H20 just add water at least 4 or 5 times.

I wrote an article on lofting beds a while ago...you might find some great tips in there.

    http://www.networx.com/article/the-fundament...

As Miriam noted above the Ana white site has some great Ideas. In this plan http://ana-white.com/2011/08/claires-loft-... the materials were in the 300 dollar range...that is a lot better than the 1500 for pbteen version. You might be able to further reduce the cost if you used plywood for some of the materials...if GIS plywood is used it would be nicer looking as this is a finish grade sanded ply that can easily be painted.

Another option for the desk top would be to use a laminate top like for a kitchen...these can often be found super cheap at resource yards.

Any ideas on a chair that turns into a bed?

I am re-doing my bedroom and in the process i am making more room for a lounge space. I am a teenager and i just graduated high school so i need something that looks grown up enough to ...»
fit into my room but little kids would like. It also has to turn into a bed because i babysit a lot and i have this chair that converts into a bed already, but it's really old and the kids sink to the floor. It also has to fit a full size adult when needed for sleepovers. does anybody have any ideas? Thank you!!
