Fall Pumpkin Topiary

I saw a very cool pumpkin topiary idea in Southern Living so I decided to try it. The end result turned out very well for an ameture attempt!

Gardening: what is this plant?

I have no idea what it is, it keeps getting taller, it sort of looks like asparagus, i can take another picture, but it is in front of the little tree, tall stalk, fine feathery leaves.
