DIY Bottle Tree

Yep, that's a 10 foot tall tree made out of different diameters of steel round rod complete with colored bottles my mom collected from friends and a few she purchased from the internet. ...»
She estimates that it cost about $300 for materials. $150 for the metal and $150 for the colored bottles. Lots more about my mom's DIY bottle tree (and where the bottle tree tradition came from) on the ol' blog. #SummerStyle

Our "Toy Garden"!

My neighbor and I call this our "Toy Garden". We spend day after day walking the beach for sea glass and unique shells. After noticing all the beach toys, flip flops, plastic and trash ...»
left littering our beaches, we started bringing extra bags with us and picked up as much as we could find and carry in one trip. Not knowing what to do with all the colorful toys and flip flops, we decided to build a Toy Wall and one thing led to another! We love our place so much and so does everyone who comes over to visit. It's such a happy, colorful place now that we have painted all the chairs!

My gardens, my breath of fresh air.

There is nothing more theraputic than planting a beautiful flower bed and watching it grow. It gives me so much pleasure and pride.
