Home Maintenance & Repairs: sinkhole in backyard

We had a sinkhole develop a few years ago, and with all the rain we have been getting, now have another much larger hole. as you may see from the photos, it is about 25 feet long and 10 ...»
to 12 inches deep at its deepest point. Who can I call to get this fixed and to prevent it from happening again? just beyond the end of the uphill point is a swing set/fort that my kids play on.

If you want to help the tree to live paint the wound with some cheap diluted latex paint. That ...»
will keep bugs and disease from attacking the tree through the opening. If you aren't sure about that and don't mind spending the money you can get a professional wound sealer from a nursery and paint the wound with that. It should be sealed in either case not just kept clean.

Gardening: I have a tree with a split in the trunk that I want to cut down.

The only thing that is stopping me is, there is a nest in the top of it. Is there anything I should be worried about?
