Plumbing: Have an old summer home built around 1940.

All the plumbing runs in a crawl space needs to be replaced. Is pex plumbing suitable and can a handyman do it himself?

PEX plumbing lines and connections are the handyman's newest best friend. They say that the ...»
lines have a very high tolerance to freezing, which is great for a summer home that may be vacant during the winter months. Ask the salesperson at the plumbing store about a different version of PEX for heat pipes, I believe the version exists. The hand tool that is necessary to clamp two connections together is expensive but chances are you will use it again and again. Enjoy the summer.
