My question is this: What are some interesting ideas for a label?

I'm not fond of plastic or wooden stakes.....so what have you used that worked well?

Try discarded mini blinds, You cut them at an angle so they are easy to push in the soil. ...»
Mark with permanent ink...will last one season and then you can reuse them on new plants or just rewrite...one blind makes many, many markers

Our kitchen floor is getting worn and we would like to replace it with tile or even food.

The adjoining room has dark hardwood..how hard is it to tie tile with the wood? If we go with a wooden floor...do we have to have the colors match exactley?

if you share a photo it may help.. but a bigger question to determine your answer is to know ...»
what your subfloor is .. assuming your floor is vinyl? remove a threshold and inspect what is under it and it will determine if the floors will transition smoothly with tile
