About Me:

I'm the scatter brained girl behind First Home Dreams, a blog dedicated to documenting the restoration, renovation, and decoration of an old brick farmhouse. Despite what my location above says, I'm actually located in Minesing, Ontario, Canada!

Favorite area of home improvement:

The design process! And decorating with vintage and antique pieces.

  • This was the daughter's room. I incorporated her teal color into the Christmas theme.
  • This is a cheap Christmas decorating idea! To make your bows every more beautiful, use two different ribbons.
  • I purchased a metal basket and filled it with Christmas greenery.
  • Nothing is more country than a grapevine wreath.
  • Christmas tree using natural colors with a splash of blue.

Thanksgiving Table

We are hosting our first Thanksgiving in our new house this year. I created a rustic tablescape with dollar store finds and pinecones from the yard!

Attempting a Fall Table Setting

I am by no means a decorator, but with fall quickly approaching I thought I'd try my hand at throwing together a fall table setting. It's nothing special, just simple and cozy feeling!
