Last fall I posted a pic of some bulbs that had shoots coming up in November. While we had many suggestions on what they may be, we decided we would have to wait to see if/when they
flowered. The leaves went dormant through our mild winter and continued growing again as spring approached. Now we have flowers, finally. I am sure many of our knowledgeable gardeners here will be able to easily identify it for me. In addition to identifying, I would like to know if their appearance in the fall with flowers in the spring is normal or did they somehow come up at the wrong time?

it seems be a Japanese Iris or Blue Flag Iris; one likes water and the other not much. I have
few, I place them in the creek..Becareful while digging them up, their root system is much deeper than the average kind. They seem to have more long rubbry roots. I leave them planted in my Garden all year long, they come back every year spreading.
My husband and I built and designed our backyard habitat, never ending work
