  • Easily age your terra cotta pots resulting in a beautiful aged patina.
  • Grab whatever paint you have on hand, think creamy antique colors, a sponge and wax. The wax will protect it from moisture and make the pots more durable.
  • Mix the paint with a good amount of wax till smooth.
  • Take a sponge and apply the paint mixture onto the terra-cotta pot leaving certain areas of the pot lightly exposed.
  • That's it, I swear, took about 2 minutes per pot.

  • I gave the tops of the painter tarps a pocket so I could easily slide the pipe through.I sewed a hem on the bottom of the painter tarps based on the height of the pergola.
  • I spray painted pipes purchased at home depot for a cheap alternative
  • This is how we secured them to the house.
  • We can block the direction of the sun from any direction. On a side note, I might have added something on the bottom hem to weigh them down so they don't blow when it is windy.

  • I took a chopstick (a pencil would work fine) and poked holes.
  • I Inserted the greens into each hole. I had a hard time keeping a few of them in place so I put a dab of hot glue on the end before inserting.
  • Keep going until you get to the top and have them stick straight up for height.
  • I placed them on top of two pots and voila, simple, spring tablescape.

  • Step by step tutorial on how to update a tired backsplash.
  • Remove whatever surface is existing. Because it was tile, the dry wall came off with it so we just cut a new piece of drywall and screwed it into the studs of the wall
  • Find yourself some ceramic tile adhesive or thin set
  • Scoop it out of the bucket with the edge of a V-notched trowel and sweep across the drywall.
  • Firmly press the glass tile onto the thin set.
  • Begin to grout.
  • The directions are on the back but basically you will want to pack the grout deep into the joints, but don't get any into the seam between the tiles and the counter-top. Next clean the surface with a soft sponge and water, rinsing the sponge often. Wait 30 minutes and buff off the "haze" with a clean, dry cloth until the glass tiles are nice and shiny.
  • Squeeze a thin bead of tub-and-tile caulk between the back-splash and countertop.
  • Enjoy the new look!
