  • Reclaimed material used to make a big ole rooster
  • Serving trays from old bakeware...I have been doing this and love it!
  • Goodies at the fair
  • If I had it my way vintage signs would be on every wall in my house!

I love a good old fashioned (junk) fair!

I headed to Goat Hill Fair a few weeks ago. The highlight was listening to my friend Cathe Holden speak, but there was so much more. So many great vintage finds, re-purposed furnishings and found objects and amazing art and jewelry

  • Our pretty new kitchen!
  • Finally drawers that glide - no more karate kicks to get them to shut!
  • The addition of bun feet added a special element and really made the cabinets look like furniture.

A Savvy Kitchen Remodel on a Budget

A kitchen remodel on a budget - how to use what you have to update the most valuable room in the home and save cash. We spent our money wisely and used the existing floor plan and cabinet ...»
boxes but the difference new doors, new drawers, a brand new built in pantry, new counter top and backsplash, and a really good paint job was UNBELIEVABLE! I am so happy I waited to remodel our kitchen until we had lived in our home and found the right niche for us.

  • The finished cart, complete with a chalkboard top!
  • Oh this cart was a busted mess...but not for long!
  • Happy Hour!
  • I added a chalkboard top. This works so well when I am having a party with a specialty drink - I just jot down the recipe and supply the ingredients and everyone can help themselves as the night goes along.

Trash to Treasure Party Cart!

I love repurposing old stuff - just about anything will do! It gives me a good challenge and also provides me with unique furnishings and decor. I spied this broken down cart at Goodwill ...»
(still sitting in the back even) and had to have it. It was beat up and a bit over my typically goodwill hunting price point, but it called to me...I had to have it...and so I did. And then I repaired and painted it. Now it is used all the time...indoors and outdoors, as a serving cart and a beverage cart.

Rolling Book Cart

I ADORE books - really books. I read them, flip through them, collect them and love them...but I have too many and they are everywhere. I needed a place to store them easily and make them ...»
look tidy (many are already on display and in bookcases)...so I made a rolling book cart that is custom fit to roll under my buffet.
