Stenciled Tables

Recently I've stenciled a couple of dining room tables that have been fairly popular, so I thought I would share them with y'all! They are done so that the wood shows through the stencil ...»
and I love the look. Here are the links to the posts: Paisley table - http://www.domesticimperfection.com/2012/05/...

Furniture: Need make over ideas

I have a vanity table that was given to me as a wedding gift 15 years ago. It is not really good for anything except being at "catch all" and sits in my entry since the seat broke many years ago. It's really showing its age. Any ideas on how to give it a make over?

This is a lovely piece of furniture. I have a perfect spot for one at the end of my hallway. ...»
Now this helped me decide to put something like this in that area. I will be on the lookout for it.

Can' t wait to see what you will do. Best wishes.

Repurposing my repurpose??? Should I or shouldn't I?

I bought this huge 7 ft door at an old school house auction, then my husband and son paired it with another great sale find-- wooden display shelves from a local store to make this cool entry shelf--- but now that spring is just around the corner I'm thinking about another repurpose and making a garden bench-- what to do?????

  • I transformed this ....a Drawer and a couple of window shutters into a wall cabinet to hang over the toilet... 10

A Drawer transformed into an over the Toilet Cabinet

So I had all these drawers lying around from an old waterbed frame compliments from my neighbor who had purchase a new bed and wanted to know if I would like to use the wood and drawers ...»
for any of my projects...and me the JUNK Queen never passes up on an opportunity for free wood LOL!

So I thought to myself, SELF... what can I make out of these drawers?

Then I got to thinking that I was needing a new cabinet to go over the toilet in the bathroom to hold the toilet paper and other bathroom accessories.

So from one of the drawers this is what I made...

You Can see the whole tutorial here...

West Elm-inspired Wood Tile Dresser

This project won the Knockoff Round in Creating with the Stars 2013. Created by Amanda of Love and Renovations (http://loveandrenovations.com/), this vintage dresser was transformed into ...»
a knockoff of a similar dresser at West Elm. Wood tiles were cut using a chop saw, were both whitewashed and graywashed to create variety and were glued directly to the drawer using wood glue and clamps. The pulls are also handmade using wood dowels spray painted with Oil Rubbed bronze. See the full tutorial here http://bit.ly/14lwtow

Washing Windows Like The Pros

I cannot take credit for this discovery; however I can tell you that it works! In my opinion this is the best way for washing windows. A cleaning company shared this tip with me four ...»
years ago, I was using glass cleaner, vinegar and newspapers. Nothing I did completely cleaned the window. This is the only thing I use now.

Items Needed for Washing Windows

(All items except the Dawn were purchased at Dollar Tree)

Dawn Dish Detergent

Small Bowl or Bucket

Scrubby Pads

Absorbent Cloths

Squeegee

Steps

1. Place a few drops of Dawn in your container with a couple inches of water.

2. Dip the scrubby pad into the water and squeeze out.

3. Scrub the glass. The Dawn along with the scrubby gets the dirt off and does not leave a residue.

4. Squeegee the window, starting at the top and working down, wiping off the "blade" each time with a cloth.

5. Wipe around the edges to absorb any leftover water and dirt.

Who would have known this is all it takes to get professional results? Give it a try and see if you like the Washing Windows like The pros. http://chaoticallycreative.com/2012/03/16/wa...
