  • We love this Walkway 1

Recycled parking lot into walkway

Mu husband and I located a business where parking lot was being chewed into oblivion and brought the pieces home and made a walkway. We even placed stone statue with under-lighting in the middle to memorialize our son. This is mostly in the shade bur sure would like to have blooming plants in the center. Along the walk we planted dwarf gardenias.

Penny floors

Saw this kitchen floor made by mosaic artist Amanda Edwards using pennies. Seems like a great idea. I was actually thinking of using this idea for a backsplash, but still a lot to consider.

  • there are white snapdragons...but can she grow these at that time?

White Flowers in October?

Sharon R. asks me: "My son and fiancee are planning an Oct. 21st wedding. Their budget is limited due to the economy. I thought I might help by growing some of the flowers and asking a talented friend to arrange them. Can you suggest some plants, primarily with white blossoms, that will be in bloom at that time of year? We are just into the mountains in Pickens county."

Can you think of anything that would help her? I can't.
