  • Stain in hardwood floor

This is a newly refinished kitchen floor of about six months.

A box of vegetables was left on the counter and rotted and the juice crept down onto the floor and left this stain. Any idea's on how it may be removed without re-finishing the entire room?

I am cribbing this from another post. A skilled and knowledgeable Hometalker who goes by ...»
Hudson Designs had this recommended method:

"Try using a piece of 200 grit sand paper on a soft sanding block. Work only the stain and feather out the sanding marks, I will take some time. Next use 600 grit on the same block and buff out the area feathering the edge again. Now apply 1 coat of a fast dry high gloss polyurethane sealer with a fine brush allow to dry completely and buff the area with the 600 paper again. Re apply the poly and sand a 2nd. time, Now add the 3rd finish coat."

    Good luck, Larry.

Inthis photo you can see what looks like burns in the hardwood floor.

There looks like an electrical line from the wall to an outlet in the middle of the room in the floor. What could cause this?

I am looking for consignment shops to find bedroom furniture for my daughter's first apartment off campus.

Memorial Drive, Dallas GA 30132. It is a huge place and probably one of the best thrift stores I have ever been in. Jennifer runs the place.
