Cleaning & Organization: Counter Tops

I recently primed, painted, marbled, and sealed my existing counter tops. when water gets on the counter tops it leaves a milky looking spot where the water was until it dries, then it ...»
is clear again. Is there an additional sealant I can put on this to stop the milky look? I'm a do it yourselfer so don't want to hire a contractor.

I did my counter tops in June and used polycrylic. So by Gail W's response I am assuming it ...»
takes a while to let the polycrylic cure.

Woodbridge~sanded counter tops, used 2 coats of kilz, 2 coats of base color, marbled with a combination of 4 colors, and sealed with 10 coats of polycrylic.

What's an inexpensive way to upgrade my kitchen?

My appliances are all new but my cabinets & counter tops need a facelift.
