With many lawn types, a fall fertilizer application is the most critical, but with Zoysia ...»
grass, the prime time for fertilizing is May through August. If you fertilize earlier or later than that, it can interfere with the Zoysia's natural seasonal cycle. Zoysia grass needs only about two pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet of lawn to look its best Apply 3-4 pounds of actual nitrogen per 1000 square feet per year

Apply 1.5 pounds of actual nitrogen per 1000 square feet in mid-spring and early fall

Optional application of 1 pound of actual nitrogen per 1000 square feet in mid- summer depending on your lawn's color

Use slow release fertilizers whenever possible

Water approximately 1 inch after fertilizing
