  • My artistic & beautiful wife K in front of Bar Celona!

Making a BAR from a reclaimed computer station

We hate to see perfectly useful things go to the landfill, so we took a pile of old computer station parts and turned it into our "flash bar" named "Bar Celona". The shutters cost us $5 ...»
and helped the local Habitat for Humanity with a few bucks, the computer station was being thrown away so it was free. A $12 piece of masonite, trim & some imaginitive painting, add party lights and a little festive material to cover the entire front, add bartender, then PARTY! We have about $25 and a few (semi-fun) weekend hours invested :)

  • James R. Hahn Productions' "Trend at the Track" mural in mosaics. Goodbye ugly concrete wall, hello beautiful mosaics!

What can be done with mosaics?

How about our current project in association with the Italian mosaics company, Trend-Group?! ... we are taking a blah concrete wall and turning it into a colorful 312 ft mural across from the international raceway in Sebring FL. This company's products are just gorgeous for backsplash, pool, fountain or accent wall application. Maybe you can't do it as big as our project, but look into Trend's products for a fabulous look! • New HAHN mural "Precious & the Ginger Snap" 1

New HAHN whimsical mural

Just completed this new mural today ... we're just calling it "Precious & the Ginger Snap" for fun. The client is about the sweetest person on earth - seriously - We talked about getting photos & she said "maybe I can feed the deer (she named it Precious) in the mural, a ginger snap" ... of course we said "go for it!" Great fun ... This is the mural in which we were painting a deer, when a real one came up to the screened lanai - no kidding! I snapped a shot of it to finish the face of ...»
the deer in the mural ... oops ... Precious' face. This was tough because the wall is very rough stucco - used a lot of paint thinner/conditioner and went slow to fill in the hollow spots. If you go too fast, you'll get big gaps ... just a tip from your resident muralist!

Sebring Centennial Mural

We're taking a blank white wall and making a commemorative mural for the city of Sebring. Notice the exhaust fan we turned into a propeller ... we like to re-purpose even in our artwork :)

  • Trixie, the Essential Depot's mascot! From our mural for this great company that distributes soap making & essential oils products, helping people start their own home businesses!

Time for your Close Up, Trixie!

Here's a close up of Trixie who's in our newest mural. The owner wanted

her included so we took a reference photo when she was dancing for a

cheese puff - you can literally see the gleam in her eye :) A home

really is a Home with the right animal friend.

  • Artist James R. Hahn with new sign design

Colorful new sign for quaint shop gets attention

Just completed this sign design for Kathy's Consignment Boutique in downtown Sebring FL. She wanted to get attention from the street, being the last business before cars rolled out of town. We got together & coordinated colors for her mural, signs, and front door. Now it is all cohesive, fun, and really hard to miss visually. Is your business slow? Maybe you need a makeover like Kathy's! A little thought, an artist, and business can pick up for you.

  • Hahn mural in Lake Wales FL

public arts mural incorporating faux cottage - Hahn

This is an 80 ft X 20 ft mural we did for the city of Lake Wales FL. It can be seen on Stuart Ave in the historic downtown district. Because there were exterior windows that "chopped into" the canvas ... we incorporated them by creating a faux cottage painted around them. At dusk, when the lights come on inside, it does look like a quaint cottage, against a natural backdrop, rather than a huge industrial style building. When my wife Kay was finishing painting the bougainvillaeas, a ...»
Monarch butterfly flew up & landed on them. A guy from Ohio was standing there at the time, and said in a deadpan voice, about the butterfly incident: "that's a great demo".
