Just the right shade of yellow

Yellow can be tricky... too bright, too dull, too cremy, too lemony... you get the idea, right? However, there are many perfect shades of yellow paint out there and I think I've found the ...»

Gardening: Pesky little red ants in raised beds

Built a couple of raised bed gardens. Here in the south, we have these pesky little red ants, and they have taken a liking to the raised beds. Since these are vegetable gardens, I'm ...»

  • Light and airy with a splash of blue, we remodeled the kitchen with a lot of DIY projects which kept the cost to a minimal!
  • Here's the BEFORE shot of the kitchen...not a bad kitchen, just not our style.
  • We were very careful when spending money on this project, doing lots of the work ourselves and shopping with not only the 'look' in mind but also the price tag.
  • The one splurge was the farm sink and the beautiful faucet. Saving money in other areas allowed us to just go ahead and get the sink and faucet we really wanted! (No regrets on this choice at all!)
  • Our eat-in kitchen is one of our favorite remodels to date! Come on over to All Things Heart and Home for a look at the whole process! xo

Furniture Revivals: Table inspiration...........please?

I bought this coffee table and 2 end tables at Goodwill. I love the chunkiness of them but not the orange-y color. ...»

Could you please give me some direction on fitting them in to my room, painting or re-staining? What colors would work best...anything. I marvel at the talent of all of you who can put together a room with re-done objects and it looks amazing.......I, on the other hand, have no such talent and clip many of your posts to someday copy. BUT I don't have an eye for putting things together and the only thing I know for sure is what I'm going to do to one lg table I have.

Thank you for any offerings you can give me!
